Powerful Roulette Strategy Lessons

Roulette is probably the one casino game where several gaming strategies and systems are invented. Now, of course, there is no such thing as a perfect strategy but there's always the fact that when you adopt some sort of system even in this game of chance, you limit your losses, control your winnings, and have a strategy that will give you more chances of winning.

Roulette Strategy Lesson 1 - Probability

Many roulette gambling systems have failed simply because the ones who invented them based their strategy on probability. Roulette is a game of chance and not of probability. When you spin the wheel, the outcome is never determined by previous spins. So what happens with this roulette strategy is that for every spin, you get the same probability for possible outcomes.

For example, you make a $5 bet on Black for 38 spins on a Double-Zero wheel. You will get off as either the winner or the loser every other spin. If you're lucky, you would be up and if you're unlucky, you would be down by more than $10. In the end, your strategy comes down to deciding when to quit since that actually controls the amount of your winnings and losses.

Roulette Strategy Lesson 2 - Casino Advantage

It is an established fact in roulette that casinos always have a mathematical advantage over the player. This is something that you cannot eliminate. A strategy is not to think of it as your adversary. It makes little difference to your chances of winning.

Take for example a roulette game with no casino advantage where you won 37 to 1 instead of 35 to 1 on numbers. When the outcome was zero, you didn't lose the outside bets but during the past several times that you have watched the wheel spin, you have been either winning or losing. So with this roulette strategy, even without the casino advantage, you still get the same winning chances. Depending therefore on luck and knowing when to quit is still a great strategy to adopt.

Roulette Strategy Lesson 3 - Chips on the Table

Some players, especially those who participate in online gambling, are quite trigger-happy when they place their bets. What they do is place a small bet here, some there, and a few more in other parts of the table. The reason for this strategy is probably to satisfy that inner intuition that tell them where to bet and how much. But this strategy is not feasible in the long run for the longer the wheel spins, the more losses you encounter and the lesser your chances of winning.
